Seasonal treat
I was annoyed when the guy at the market handed me a 4-1/2 pound bag of cherries. He'd lured me in with a free sample and loudly announced the 99-cent-a-pound price. I didn't notice how big the bags were and felt stuck with it once I said "I'll take a bag".
Now I'm thanking him. I gave about a pound of cherries to my neighbor, we snacked on the rest for a few days, and today I made what was left into a cobbler. Threw in about a dozen blackberries we found growing on the south side of the house, and boy, is it good!
