Look at this photo for a moment and you'll see it's more than what it seems at first glance.
A colleague of mine turned me on to this, called a "cinemagraph" by Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck, who apparently were the first to try it.
Their website cinemagraphs.com is filled with beautiful examples of their fashion and food cinemagraphs.
For you techies out there, a cinemagraph combines a small animated GIF with a larger still image.
Here's a link to a tutorial on how to create this effect using Photoshop CS5. Not too difficult.
