Gorgeous

Bird silhouette in treeThe last couple of days have been cold but flat-out gorgeous in Cleveland. On Friday afternoon I went for a sunny five-mile run at Edgewater Park. I stopped after half a lap to take this picture of what I thought was a hawk in the weeping willow next to the beach.

To the naked eye it looked a lot bigger than it does here, even with my camera zoomed as much as possible. Had quite a commanding presence perched on the very topmost branch of the tree (from this angle it may not look that way, but you'll have to trust me. It was the top branch).
