First sightings

Freighter on Lake Erie off Edgewater Park, Cleveland, OH
Like the first robin, seeing the first freighter approaching the Cleveland Harbor is a sure sign that winter is over. Since today's paper reported that Cleveland's sole surviving steel mill is shutting down for an indefinite period of time, this ship probably isn't carrying iron ore. Might be limestone, maybe from Kelleys Island, even.

A bit further down the beach at Edgewater Park was the first sunbather I've seen this year. From this distance looks to be an older gentleman bare-assed on the sand who's attracted his own fan club of one. She casually snapped a shot with her cellphone before turning toward the water.
