Welcome to the Louvre!
The Louvre is the most visited art museum in the world. It is located on the Right Bank between the Seine River and he Rue de Rivoli. The Louvre as it stands today is the result of building projects completed over the past 800 years. The Louvre also contains some of the most famous works of art including many works by Leonardo Da Vinci. The central courtyard of the museum, located on the Champs-Ely sees houses the Louvre Pyramid. This is also the main entrance to the museum.

Visiting the Louvre
The museum is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm every day except for Tuesday and a handful of holidays. Admission is free on the first Sunday of every month, otherwise a combined ticket that allows you to see all of the available exhibitions is 13 Euros per person. Allow at least 2 hours to view the world-class masterpieces, but if you are into fine art you can easily spend an entire day browsing the galleries.
