PROJECT DESCRIPTION  |  STUDENT WORK

YUMIKO TAKAHASHI

I appreciated an unexpected happening, visiting “the show of students’ projects at the hallway” at the CIA. I got many inspirations from them, especially, fiber and material studies. Those took me different world: They established “the only one in the world” object. They dealt with variety of methods; tearing, sawing, gluing and dying, “how handmaking was awesome.” The best one from them is the girl portrait with a dying cloth. The color combination makes the piece very unique and gives me feeling as if it is a totally different mix media piece. Inspiration always comes from everywhere. An anonymous gives me such great inspiration.
