This is my first homepage about the history of the web.

MILESTONES IN THE HISTORY OF THE WEB

Starting point

I'd say the web actually started (In 1960) with...

(The communication between colleges and the communication between government offices. I have always heard that it was a group of "Dead Heads" ie. Greatful Dead follower's who where at two different California colleges and they started exchanging Greatful Dead show tapes via there college internet hookup.)

Most important breakthrough

The thing that really made the World Wide Web workable was? (The developement of the Browser, following of course the desktop computer).

Most important person

The person who contributed most to the Web as we know it was... I believe, (Steve Jobs) because (In the narrative movie about Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, it was Bill Gates who was the talented businessman seeing an opportunity to create a standard operating system, but it was Steve Jobs that invisioned a computer on every desktop and continues to revelotionize and think outside of the box )
