Photography includes the capturing of images via digital or film cameras. This hobby represents the art of preserving memories, or experiences.
The images can range from very simple, to structured and individually designed. A simple photograph could be of nature, or a picture for a year book. Other artists capture images to work on in a photo editor to bring out certain features.
Photography can express one's inner emotions to their audience, or just be a gift such as wedding photos.

The Optimal Photo
There are many variables to capturing the optimal photograph. The following are critical variables:
lighting
the lens of the camera
type of film
exposure
the camera itself
digital
film
These variables can really bring to life to an image, depending on what the photographer is looking to express with their photo. For example, if it were a wedding photo, one might use a digital camera with the flash on, positioning the camera
below the bride and groom to represent height, and thus power of the marriage.
The job of a photographer is more subjective than the typical career. Many photographers are self-employed and find their customers based on the market's preferences. No one photographer can fulfill every need of different customers. For more security, some photographers seek contracts with businesses and agencies.
Despite the fun and excitement of being a photographer, the pay is not flattering. The highest paid photographers only averaged $56,640 in 2006, with the low incomes in the fifteen thousands.
From researching the topic of photography, I learned that photography could be a great hobby that anyone can enjoy. Using the right camera, with the balance of lighting, exposure, and positioning can create a beautiful picture.
Although fulfilling in an artistic point of view, I would never choose photography as a career because of the low-income levels that the expert photographers make. An amateur such as me would never stand a chance.
I will still continue to love taking pictures, and using Photoshop.
