About This Site

This site was created as a final project for my Web Publishing Class at Cuyahoga Community College; instructor Al Wasco. This site offers a glimpse into the life and work of Pop Artist - Roy Lichtenstein. The site is intended to be informative and educational. My goal is to create a sense of nostalgia for the Baby Boomers. But, my hope is that anyone of any age will be able to find something - that they didn't already know - about the artist Roy Lichtenstein and his work.

My name is Maggie Burgan and I am a Graphic Designer residing in Hudson, Ohio. I have more than 20 years experience in corporate communications departments, educational publishing production, and graphic design industries. I have done everything from Art Direction to Production. But that's just a part of it; design is my passion. I design on my iMac using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign but equally enjoy working the old fashioned way - with a pencil and sketch book. I have completed my first Web Publishing class and can now say that I understand HTML/CSS! I am excited to continue my studies in Web Design. If you'd like to view some of my recent print work, here is my portfolio. You can also email me with any questions or comments. I hope you enjoyed this website!

The following is a list of links to sources that I used to obtain photos and art for this site:
