I have decided to do something new for the HTML document. I have written a movie review for Bourne Ultimatum. My husband and I went to see it in the theatre last month. We saw the first and second of the Bourne films-Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy. In all three movies Matt Damon plays the character of an amnesiac CIA assassin Jason Bourne. Bourne wants out and goes on the journey of uncovering his real identity. During this journey(all three Bourne films) the CIA Agents continue to send assassins after him.
Bourne Ultimatum picks up where Bourne Supremacy left off. Jason is wounded and fleeing from the Moscow Police. The police find him but Jason prevails and escapes . He travels to Paris to tell Maria's brother of her death (Jason Bourne's girlfriend). I was really, really disappointed that they killed Maria (Franka Potente) in Bourne Supremacy. I am a big fan of Franka Potente but I was very happy they opted to leave out the shaky hand held camera work. In my opinion it distracted from the movie when they used it in Bourne Supremacy.
The next part of this movie is my favorite scene. Jason goes from Paris to London to meet a journalist at the Waterloo Station. The journalist is of course under CIA surveillance. Bourne sees the CIA agents following the journalist. Via a cell phone which Bourne placed in the pocket of the journalist earlier, he masterfully communicates with the journalist, trying to steer him away from the agents and at the same time closer to him.
The next stops for Bourne are Madrid and Tangier. He needs to contact Neal Daniels in Madrid. A source that will lead him closer to finding his true identity. Bourne arrives at Neal's place but soon encounters more CIA agents. He defeats the agents and escapes with the help of a former associate but also a CIA agent, Nicky Parsons. Another assassin is dispatched and is after Bourne and Nicky.
Bourne's final journey takes him to New York City...the Big Apple. He does eventually find out his real name and during this stint in New York he has to deal with another assassin, an amazing car chase, and a visit to a couple of unethical people. The ending will keep you wanting more....especially if it involves Matt Damon, well for me at least.
